Becoming ("the experience", "this site") is a non-commercial Pride Month visual artwork published by Xylora Studios ("we", "us"). This policy explains, in plain language, what data we touch, what we do not touch, and what rights you have. If anything here is unclear, ask us — contact details are at the bottom.
We do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, age, gender, location, phone number, or any other personal identifier. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, Segment, Amplitude, PostHog, or any third-party analytics SDK. We do not embed third-party trackers, advertising scripts, or social-media share widgets that read your activity.
Becoming is delivered through Cloudflare's global edge network. To serve the page, Cloudflare and our origin will see a standard request log entry containing your IP address, the URL you requested, your user-agent string, a timestamp, and (where your browser sends one) a Referer header. These logs are used only to keep the site online, to detect abuse, and to debug errors. We retain them for no longer than 30 days and never sell, share, or correlate them with any other dataset.
Becoming does not set any tracking cookies. The site may store, in your own browser, a small amount of UI state — for example whether you muted the soundtrack and the loop counter for the experience. This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear your site data. You can browse Becoming with cookies and local storage fully blocked; only your audio preference and loop counter will be forgotten between visits.
The soundtrack "Splintered Prism" is by Akira_6606. It is served as a static file from the same origin as the page and does not contact Spotify, Apple Music, or any other audio analytics provider when it plays. If you click the artist link, the destination (Spotify) operates under its own privacy policy.
We link out to Xylora Studios, Akira_6606's Spotify, and other sites referenced in the experience. Once you click an outbound link, the destination is no longer covered by this policy. Treat each destination's privacy notice as authoritative for that site.
Becoming contains stylised but emotionally intense imagery and themes (identity, isolation, public confrontation, flashing color). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Younger viewers should view with an adult.
The experience contains rapid color changes, high-contrast flashes, strobing during climactic beats, and audio that responds to scroll. If you have photosensitive epilepsy, vestibular sensitivity, or any condition that may be affected by flashing imagery and motion, enable prefers-reduced-motion in your operating system before viewing, mute the audio, or use the in-experience "skip → credits" link in the bottom-left.
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, we usually have nothing to access, correct, port, or delete on your behalf. If Cloudflare's edge logs contain an entry tied to your IP and you have a verifiable legal request, contact us and we will work with the host to process the request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
The site is served over HTTPS. Static assets are immutable and content-hashed. We do not operate a database, a comments system, an authentication flow, or any other write endpoint that could store data about you.
If we materially change how Becoming handles data, we will update this page and bump the version number above. There is no mailing list to notify, so check back here.
